Initial Educator Preparation
The College of Education offers educator preparation programs leading to an Oregon preliminary teaching license. Pre-service programs offer preparation in the following endorsement areas:
Elementary – Multiple Subjects (includes Embedded ESOL Endorsement)
Secondary/MidHigh (includes Embedded ESOL Endorsement)
- Social Studies Endorsement
- World Languages Endorsement (French, German, Japanese, Mandarin, or Spanish)
MEd in K12 Physical Education (includes Embedded ESOL Endorsement)
Special Education – Early Intervention and Early Childhood
Special Education – Generalist (K-12)
Advanced Educator Preparation
The College of Education offers programs allowing educators to add credentials or endorsements to their preliminary teaching license, and/or prepare for new professional roles. Students in these programs already hold a preliminary teaching license. Some programs have *online options.

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
Single Subject Endorsements in the areas of:
- English Language Arts
- Math (Advanced or Foundational)
- Science (Integrated Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
- Social Science
- World Language (French, German, Japanese, Mandarin, or Spanish)
Special Education: Early Intervention and Early Childhood
Special Education: Generalist (K-12)
Special Education: Reading Intervention
Other School Professionals
School Psychology: The School Psychology program offers a master’s (specialist-level) program and a 5-year doctoral program in School Psychology, with both programs leading to state PreK-12 licensure and national certification as a school psychologist.
Speech Language Pathology: Graduates of the master's program become accredited speech language pathologists and most work directly with children, adolescents, or adults with a variety of speech, language, communication, cognition, and swallowing disorders.
