Continuing Your Education

The UO College of Education offers several planned programs of study leading to continuing licenses for public school administrators—principals, vice principals, assistant superintendents, superintendents, and other designated personnel.

COE programs feature many advantages for returning professionals who must balance their continuing education with challenging outside responsibilities:
• Participants can often prepare for licensure at the UO in one to three years (depending on the program) while they’re still working and in a supportive cohort of educators.
• Continuing students may be able to earn an advanced degree concurrently with their licensure preparation—with licensure credits applying towards the degree.
• Cohort courses for many programs are offered on convenient schedules including summer, weekend, and evening sessions.

COE programs offer the opportunity for educators to collaborate both with our nationally recognized faculty and with our practitioner partners to successfully integrate theory and practice.
