Elementary and ESOL applicants must submit a “CTED Endorsements” graduate school application for summer or fall admission. See instructions below for stand-alone endorsement application options.

Complete the online The Division of Graduate Studies Admission Application

Nonrefundable Application Fee: $70 (Domestic Students)/$90 (International Students), paid by credit card or eCheck. You will need to pay the application fee before you are able to submit the application.

  • You do not need to complete the online application in one sitting.
  • You will be able to log in and work on different sections of your application until your payment is made or the application deadline passes.
  • Check endorsement program for any pre-requisite and complettion requirements.

American Indian/Alaska Native applicants interested in fostering Indigenous methodologies in teaching and learning may apply to the Sapsik'ʷałá Indigenous Education Program. Federal Department of Education grant funding is restricted to applicants pursuing high need areas such as middle-high school math, sciences, and or an elementary/middle-high school English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) endorsement.   

  • Sapsik’ʷałá scholars participate in an Indigenous cohort learning community
  • The Sapsik’ʷałá grant typically provides tuition, books, computer, living stipend, and dependent allowance through a Department of Education grant.
  • Sapsik'ʷałá Indigenous Education Program. Sapsik'ʷałá grant scholars complete service payback by teaching for 2 years in high Native American student populations schools.

Non-degree seeking licensed teachers wishing to enroll in COE courses toward adding Oregon endorsements will work directly with the UOTeach program administration on developing a program of study:

  • Elementary Multiple Subject Program Endorsement Program – The Elementary Multiple Subject courses are offered through the UOTeach program.  These courses are in-person and require the applicants meet Elementary program pre-requisites. Licensed teachers looking to enroll in this program should contact uoteach@uoregon.edu for information on obtaining faculty approval to enroll.
  • Secondary Single Subject Area Endorsements – The COE UOTeach program offers subject area methods courses fall and winter terms. Licensed teachers looking to enroll, may contact uoteach@uoregon.edu for information on obtaining faculty approval.
  • English for Speakers of Other Languages Endorsement In-Person Program – the CTEd/UOTeach ESOL added endorsement program is in-person and requires a practicum. Applicants may apply for postbaccalaureate or Post-Master graduate admission through the Division of Graduate Studies or the UO Community Education Program.
