Applications for unfilled slots accepted through May 1.

Students are admitted Summer/Fall only - there are no rolling admissions.

HOW TO APPLY - FOLLOW THESE STEPS

1. Complete the University of Oregon Online Graduate Application
• Within this online application, there are several sections to fill out, including the department application for SPED:
a. Personal Info
b. Residency Info
c. Educational Info
d. Referee Info
e. Department App (which includes Character Questionnaire, see #5 below)
f. Payment
($70 non-refundable application fee paid via credit card)
• You can continue to 'View/Update' each section, until you pay the application fee. Once this fee is paid, your file is officially 'submitted' to the Department.

2. Supporting Documentation
• Upload the following documents as part of your Department Application:
a. Professional Goal Statement
b. Resume / CV
c. Statement articulating your experience in working with individuals with disabilities
d. Transcripts from all colleges/universities attended,
showing degrees earned.
e. UPDATE: Our program application for K-12 and Early Intervention licensure now requires a score from one of the following assessments: SAT, ACT, GRE, or Praxis Core.

3. Letters of Recommendation
• Within the application, you will input contact information (email) for three people who will be writing letters of recommendation for you.
• Each recommender will receive an automated email prompt, directing them to an online system for evaluating you on several different components as well as the option to upload a letter on your behalf.

4. Submit official transcripts (except University of Oregon) from all institutions where you have earned a degree to:

5.  Character Questionnaire - Licensure Applicants Only
• The Character Questionnaire is filled out online as part of the admissions application in GradWeb.  The Admissions Committee does not have access to this document until the time they are ready to make an admissions decision.
