Students may choose to declare the Prevention Science (PS) track. In addition to the fundamental courses that all FHS students take, this track emphasizes the skills necessary for choosing and evaluating preventative interventions you might implement as a human services professional. Students who pursue the PS track will focus on gaining skills to prepare them for a research-focused graduate degree in prevention science or a related field. They will participate in research aimed at reducing risk and enhancing protective factors in children, youth, and families, and building resilient communities.
Students must meet the following requirements for consideration to the PS track:
- Have a 2.5 CUM GPA and be in good academic standing and
- C or higher in all prior FHS courses.
Students needing assistance with declaring the PS track should schedule an appointment with one of our COE Academic Advisors.
