The Oregon Legislature is currently considering Senate Bill 13, which would develop curriculum for Oregon K-12 schools on tribal history and sovereignty, written from Native American perspectives. This legislation fills a gap in our children's education and we commend lawmakers for moving forward with it in a bipartisan manner.

University Day at the COE

For more than 100 years, faculty, staff, students and friends of the UO have celebrated the beauty of the campus by weeding, planting and spreading mulch to have the grounds sparkling just in time for graduation. Even though the COE is obviously the most attractive section of the campus, it too benefits from all the attention.

#DucksGive 2017

#DucksGive will take place Thursday, May 18 and is the University of Oregon’s second annual giving day. We’ve set an aggressive university-wide goal of 1876 donors during the single-day campaign in honor of the year the UO was founded. To encourage participation, challenge gifts inspire many donors to make gifts that magnify the impact of those gifts. Giving Day is especially exciting for our young alumni and non-donors, with our peer institutions seeing as much as 60% of the gifts coming from first-time donors.
