Educational Leadership Graduate Programs

Master of Science (MS)

Our Master of Science in Education Leadership is sunsetting as we launch our new Master of Science in Education Policy and Leadership (EPoL). Learn about EPoL!

As we close out our existing program, we want to make you aware of the following:

  • Admission to our Master of Science in Educational Leadership is closed; we are no longer able to accept new students.
  • If you are currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Educational Leadership program, please know that EMPL faculty will ensure that progress to degree attainment will not be disrupted. Contact your advisor for additional information on the pathway and supports that will be provided.

Master of Education (MEd) Plus Oregon Preliminary Administrator License

Our Master of Education (MEd) plus Oregon Preliminary Administrator License Program is on hiatus as the State of Oregon standards for the education and training of Oregon school administrators have changed. These changes, mandated by the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission, require us to redesign and reimagine administrator education at the UO. Our plan is to have a new academic program in place for new students to enter in Fall of 2022. We will post any changes in plans or updates here on this page.

As we close out our existing programs, we want to make you aware of the following:

  • Admission to our administrator licensure programs (MEd/PreAL and ProAL) is closed; we are no longer able to accept new students.
  • If you are currently enrolled in the MEd/PreAL or ProAL licensure programs, please know that the final term for completing program requirements is spring 2022. Candidates who do not complete all licensure requirements by the end of this term will not be eligible for licensure under the current program.

We look forward to what the future holds for administrator training at our own institution and across the state. Please check back for updates.
