k. jeong yoon janney is an individual and relational therapist focusing on work with oppressed and minoritized people. jeong yoon also does work as an equity and inclusion consultant and trainer committed to engaging the intersections of multiple identities.
jeong yoon received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Oregon, in addition to a certificate in Substance Abuse Prevention. She began working in Higher Education Student Affairs in Residence Life before transitioning to work in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. After working for a decade in higher education, jeong yoon decided to pursue another career path. She returned to University of Oregon to earn a Master of Science in Couples and Family Therapy (CFT). During her time with the CFT program, jeong yoon was also a fellow with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy Minority Fellowship Program.
jeong yoon is a licensed counselor in both Oregon and Washington. Additionally, jeong yoon completed advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (fundamentals, externship, core skills, and EFCT supervision) and a certificate in the accredited Training for Adoption Competency from the Center for Adoption Support and Education. jeong yoon is also an OBLPCT approved clinical supervisor for professional counselor associates and marriage and family therapy associates in Oregon.
In her spare time, jeong yoon enjoys spending time with her partner, her rescue dog, volunteering in the community, and craftivism.
