Emily Barker was born and raised in the Eugene/Springfield area. She graduated from the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication in 2019 where she discovered her passion for digital and social media marketing. During her time as a student, she was a Communications Intern in the College of Education. After graduating, she worked part-time as a Communications Assistant where she developed her skills in social media marketing, content creation, and website development. Emily now works as a Communications Coordinator in the College of Education where she assists in creating informative and intriguing content for the website, social media, and all other digital platforms.
