Biography

As a COE Academic Advisor, Angela (she/her) provides academic advising to undergraduate students in the College of Education at the University of Oregon. She has lived and worked in England, Australia, New Zealand, the Kingdom of Tonga, and Taiwan, and has served as an instructor and advisor in institutes of higher education throughout the U.S. She previously served as the Head Academic Advisor and Senior Instructor with UO’s American English Institute and the IECP Coordinator of Student Affairs at the Pennsylvania State University.

Angela served as a faculty representative on numerous UO committees including the Study Abroad Program Committee and the Student-Faculty Committee on Grievances and holds leadership roles with international professional organizations. She also has extensive experience delivering formal presentations throughout the U.S. on topics related to proactive academic advising approaches, first-year student support programs, and academic success and retention of at-risk student populations, has taught courses on effective online instruction to K-12 teachers in China, and volunteers as an Arts Ambassador at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts.
