Laura King is the Executive Assistant to the Director of Development at the College of Education. Laura received her Masters of Nonprofit Management from the University of Oregon where she had many opportunities to grow as a nonprofit leader and fundraiser. As an alum, Laura is honored with the opportunity to serve the University of Oregon again and support the College of Education’s development staff’s work and fundraising initiatives. Prior to the College of Education, Laura served for two years as the Student Resource Coordinator for the University of Oregon’s LGBT Education and Support Services where they oversaw programming and fund allocations to support LGBTQ+ students' academic, social, and basic needs. In the community, Laura is a board member of Lane Arts Council, working to provide arts experiences, arts education, and cultural opportunities across Lane County. They also enjoy gardening and houseplants, board games, and spending time with their family, friends, and cat.
