Students may choose to declare the Direct Service Intensive (DSI) track, which further builds practical skills in the human services field through supervised field experiences. This track builds on the professional development, intervention skills, and research knowledge, and equity and diversity awareness that FHS students receive, but it adds field experience with local community partners. Students who are accepted to the DSI track are required to engage in 4 terms of field study and group supervision.
Students must meet the following requirements for consideration to the DSI track:
- Have a 2.5 CUM GPA and be in good academic standing,
- Enrollment in or completion of FHS 471, and
- C or higher in all prior FHS courses.
Students needing assistance with declaring the DSI track should schedule an appointment with one of our COE Academic Advisors.
