Master's Programs in the College of Education

The Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) master’s program (MS) is designed to prepare culturally responsive and compassionate clinician-researchers in the science of human behavior and learning. This fully online program offers both synchronous and asynchronous learning activities.

The Communication Disorders and Sciences (CDS) master's program (MS) is designed to prepare graduates to make significant contributions as speech-language pathologists. Students work in both educational and clinical settings to learn how to work successfully with individuals of all ages.

The Couples and Family Therapy (CFT) master’s program (MS) is for students who want to develop advanced counseling skills and provide counseling services for individuals, couples, intimate partners, and families.

The Curriculum and Teacher Education (CTED) master’s program (MS) is designed for licensed teachers to pursue advanced academic training and educational scholarship. The program provides considerable flexibility for students to focus their studies on their individual areas of specialization.

The Education Policy and Leadership (EPoL) master's program (MS) combines methodological training, theoretical grounding, and practical expertise in US education policy with evidence-based decision-making, organizational leadership, and policy-making processes. Students can add an optional Specialization in Educational Data Science.

The Master of Education (MEd) + Principal Licensure program is designed for students concurrently enrolled in our Principal Licensure Program who do not already hold a master's degree or are seeking a second degree. The master's degree is offered through a partnership with the Coalition of Oregon School Administrators.

The Prevention Science (PrevSci master's program (MEd / MS) program provides training in the design, evaluation, and delivery of interventions aimed at reducing risk and enhancing protective factors in children, youth, and families, and building resilient communities.

The School Psychology (SPSY) master’s program (MS) prepares students to become skilled practitioners and leaders in the field. The 3-year program, accredited by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), is offered in both Eugene and Portland, OR.

The Special Education (SPED) master’s program (MA / MS / MEd) has been ranked number 3 in the nation since 2000. The program offers master of arts, master of science, and master of education options with licensure coursework for students who would like to earn a teaching license with their degree.

The UOTeach Curriculum and Teaching program (MEd / Licensure) is designed for students pursuing their preliminary Oregon teacher licensure and a Master of Education degree. UOTeach is ideal for candidates who aspire to pursue careers in elementary, or middle or high school learning communities.
