eHealth Coping Skills Training and Coach Support for Women Whose Partner Has a Drinking Problem.
Estimates suggest that nearly 1 in 20 adult women in the U.S. are married to or living with a partner with an alcohol use disorder (AUD). Delivery models are needed to overcome the barriers, and provide easy access to empirically evaluated services. In the proposed research project, we will develop and test a Web-based version of StopSpinningMyWheels, an empirically tested coping skills training program. We will then conduct an RCT with 450 women with an AUD partner to test the therapeutic benefit of being randomly assigned to one of three conditions: Web StopSpinningMyWheels plus coach support calls, Web StopSpinningMyWheels without coach support, or a Usual Web Comparison condition that presents a compilation of free Web information. Role: MPI.

Responsive eHealth Intervention for Perinatal Depression in Healthcare Settings.
The major goals of this project are to complete the technology development to make a commercial-ready product (MMB 2.0) that fits the workflow and staffing of healthcare organizations, and to conduct an RCT in a large healthcare setting to evaluate its acceptability, usability, and efficacy. MMB 2.0 enhancements will include improved database architecture and administrative site, expand to include perinatal depression, and to use a new responsive design technology so that program can be used interchangeably with any internet-accessible computer device (desktop, laptop, tablet, smartphone). Role: MPI.

Web and Mobile Smoking Cessation Interventions. We use a 2-arm RCT in which adult smokers who want to quit are randomized to a smartphone or a desktop/tablet smoking cessation intervention. Both conditions use a similar best-practices core delivered using interactive, tailored content. Role: MPI.
