Time to teach: Aimee Jones-Suematsu

People often think that Aimee Jones-Suematsu wants to be a teacher because her mother is one. However, she says that’s not really the case.

“I think when I was a kid I always knew I wanted to teach,” she said. Her mother taught at Yujin Gakuen, a Japanese immersion school in Eugene, all of Jones-Suematsu’s life. She always encouraged her daughter to look into different career paths, like counseling or child services.

Prevention Science PhD

Applications for Fall 2019 admission to the PhD program in Prevention Science will open October 15, 2018. The online application must be completed by 11:59 PM Pacific Standard Time,  January 31, 2019 for full consideration.  The program will conduct video conference PhD interviews on February 8, 2019.

Prevention Science MEd

Applications for Fall 2019 enrollment will open on January 1, 2019 and will be considered on a rolling basis through May 1, 2019. This date may be extended through May 31 if we have additional availability. We will begin reviewing applications and making offers of admission in January 2019.
