The CFT program prepares students for the Marriage and Family Therapist License.

The Couples and Family Therapy program at the University of Oregon has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) since 2003, and approved by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists (OBLPCT).

Admissions

Applications for Fall 2019 cannot be started until October 15, 2018. The online application must be completed by 11:59 PM, Pacific Standard Time, December 1, 2018. On site interviews will be Friday, January 26, 2019.

Psychologist License in Counseling Psychology

Programs that are accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) are recognized as meeting the definition of a professional psychology program. The criteria for accreditation serve as a model for professional psychology training. The UO Counseling Psychology program in the College of Education has been APA accredited since 1955 (Commission on Accreditation, 750 1st St. NE, Washington DC 20002-4242, 202.336.5979).
