CDS' Sohlberg talks concussion rehab on OPB's 'Think Out Loud'

McKay Sohlberg, director of the communication disorders and sciences program, was featured on the "Treating Concussions" episode of Oregon Public Broadcasting's Think Out Loud on February 24, 2016 with concussion sufferer Sylvia Titterington. Sohlberg also directs the HEDCO Cognitive Rehabilitation Clinic, which treats many people experiencing long-term cognitive problems following concussions.

Annual conference an opportunity to help reduce child abuse

Equity Leadership Fellows Program offers unique funding opportunity

The Department of Educational Methodology, Policy, and Leadership (EMPL) is announcing a unique funding opportunity for current and future preliminary administrator licensure (PreAL), doctorate of education (DEd), and DEd/PreAL graduate students called the Equity Leadership Fellows program. The program is taking applications now for students planning to enroll during the 2016-17 academic year, with a deadline of March 15.

UO lands four scholars for obesity prevention cluster (Around the O)

Four early career scholars whose work focuses on the science of obesity prevention will join the UO's Health Promotion and Obesity Prevention Initiative in the fall. They were hired as part of the Clusters of Excellence Faculty Hiring Initiative announced in 2014.
