TLC Sky Studio Tutoring

Located on the 4th floor of the Knight Library, Sky Studio provides free drop-in tutoring for writing (any discipline, any stage of the writing process), math (algebra, trigonometry, and calculus), and some languages (typically Spanish and French).

A wide range of tutoring hours aims to accommodate busy student schedules. Writing and math tutoring is available 9am-7pm Mon-Thurs and 9am-5pm Fri from the second week through the Wednesday of finals week during fall, winter, and spring terms. Language tutoring hours and summer hours vary.  For the most updated information on their hours, visit their website at:  https://tlc.uoregon.edu/tutoring/

Small-Group and Individual Tutoring

These additional tutoring formats offer students in-depth support for a number of lower-division math, science, and language courses. Students should inquire about subject availability and costs. Small-group tutoring is free on a first-come basis; individual tutoring ranges $12-16 per hour.

Consultations with Learning Specialists

TLC learning specialists help students review content and develop strategic study approaches for subjects across the UO curriculum. These staff members have specialties in science, math, writing, and English language. As one example, Michael Gwynn can assist students with studying for math courses, including the Math 211 sequence. As another example, Matt Chambers, previously a faculty member in AEI, works extensively with international students on English reading and writing skills. Students make individual appointments through the main TLC office.
