New Master’s Funding Opportunity!

CDS is happy to announce a limited funding opportunity for students with interest in and experience working with young children (birth to 5) at-risk for or diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). PANGEA scholars will participate in an interdisciplinary training program to develop skills in assessment, intervention, collaboration, research, and leadership related to toddlers and preschoolers with ASD and their families. If interested in being considered for PANGEA funding, please follow application instructions found on the CDS Master’s Application page.

If interested in applying for PANGEA, submit an additional letter of intent directed to Dr. Heather Moore by February 1st, 2019. This letter of intent should: (1) explain your interest in working with young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); (2) describe your experience working with young children (birth to age 5) with and without disabilities; (3) describe your experience working with children and/or adults with ASD; (4) specify whether or not you have a documented disability, are from a traditionally underrepresented or marginalized population in the US, are a first generation college student, or are a parent of a child with a disability; (5) comment on your willingness to meet the 2-year service obligation that is required for student funding associated with PANGEA (i.e., employed in a position within 7 years post-graduation that provides direct service to infants, toddlers, or children at risk for or with disabilities). Please note that only US citizens or permanent residents are eligible for PANGEA due to the federal requirements associated with the funding.

CDS continues to offer an additional limited funding opportunity for students with interests and experiences in early intervention (birth to 5) with culturally and linguistically-diverse populations. Project INICIO scholars will participate in an interdisciplinary training program to develop skills in assessment, intervention, collaboration, research, and leadership necessary to serve young dual language learners with disabilities and their families. If interested in being considered for Project INICIO, please follow application instructions found on the CDS Master’s Application page.

**Please note, CDS applicants are welcome to apply to both Project INICIO and PANGEA.  Please email your PANGEA statement to the CDS Student Services Coordinator, Elizabeth O'Harra at cds@uoregon.edu.**
