The Gift Economy: A Model for Collaborative Community

Event date:
Friday, March 7, 2014 - 12:00pm to 2:30pm

Who Needs Money?

The concept of a "gift economy" - the exchange of goods with no expectation of a return - has long been a point of debate among anthropologists and economists. Meet four Eugenians who are living the lifestyle and participate in a Q&A and intimate, table-group discussions of this growing movement. The program is sponsored by the Service-Learning Program at the UO College of Education.

Snacks and refreshments will be provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring a bag lunch. Questions? Click the link below to e-mail Josna Lauryan. (RSVP appreciated, but not required; come as you are.)
