The annual conference of the 90by30 initiative, an outreach unit of the University of Oregon College of Education, will be held March 11, 2016 in the Center for Meeting and Learning at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon.

Equity Leadership Fellows Program offers unique funding opportunity

The Department of Educational Methodology, Policy, and Leadership (EMPL) is announcing a unique funding opportunity for current and future initial administrator licensure (IAL), doctorate of education (DEd), and DEd/IAL graduate students called the Equity Leadership Fellows program. The program is taking applications now for students planning to enroll during the 2016-17 academic year, with a deadline of March 15. The program is the first of its kind for the department.

UO lands four scholars for obesity prevention cluster (Around the O)

Four early career scholars whose work focuses on the science of obesity prevention will join the UO's Health Promotion and Obesity Prevention Initiative in the fall. They were hired as part of the Clusters of Excellence Faculty Hiring Initiative announced in 2014.

Nancy Golden, former chief education officer for the State of Oregon, has joined the University of Oregon College of Education (COE) as its first professor of practice for the Department of Educational Methodology, Policy, and Leadership. Her appointment began January 1, 2016.

Students at the Couples and Family Therapy (CFT) Program at the University of Oregon College of Education (COE) will host the annual “Relationship Check-In” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 at the Center for Healthy Relationships (CHR), formally the Center for Family Therapy, at the HEDCO Clinic on the UO campus.
