We are delighted to announce that our Sapsik'ʷałá Program office in Lokey Education is included on the new Indigenous Map of the UO Campus! Applications now being accepted for 2019- 2020 Sapsik’ʷałá cohort


The Sapsik’ʷałá Teacher Education Program and the UOTeach Program (Master’s in Education: Curriculum and Teaching) are looking for American Indian/Alaska students who have a desire and passion to become an elementary or middle/high school teacher. It is time to apply to join us for the 2019-2020 academic year! Applications are due January 15.

Sapsik'ʷałá Tribal Advisory Chair receives 2017 Distinguished Alumni Award

We are proud to announce our Sapsik'ʷałá Program Tribal Advisory Council Chair, Angela Bowen, has received the 2017 University of Oregon College of Education’s Distinguished Alumni Award! Angela graduated with an MEd degree in 2005 and has worked tirelessly as a teacher and leader for Tribal and equity education. She currently serves as the Education Director for her Tribal community (Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw). Congratulations, Angela!
