Teacher education department licensure and degree programs prepare professionals to use the best of research-based practices to teach children and adult learners.

Undergraduate Studies
Teacher education's undergraduate major in educational studies leads to a bachelor of arts degree (B.A.), bachelor of science degree (B.S.), or bachelor of education degree (B.Ed.). The major offers the following specialization:
• Educational Foundations (EDF) Bachelor's Degree

Graduate Studies
Graduate programs in teacher education lead to a teaching license, appropriate subject-matter endorsements, and a master's degree (M.Ed.) with a major in Teaching and Learning. The major has two specializations:
• Graduate Elementary Teaching (GET) Master's Degree
• Middle-Secondary Education (MSEC) Master's Degree
• English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program leads to a state-approved add-on endorsement for licensed teachers.
