The College of Education Diversity Vision
Vision Statement
The College of Education will be an inclusive community where students, faculty, and staff of all backgrounds are provided a welcoming and safe environment in which to
• Engage in their instructional, administrative, research and scholarship activities and • Have active, serious, and respectful discussions associated with the opportunities and challenges of diversity. Through open exchanges of ideas, the college will provide its students with the skills, knowledge, and understanding needed to educate and support the children, youth, adults, and families representing all of society.

COE and UO Diversity
The College of Education released its report on diversity in February 2006. The UO Diversity plan has been in committee, reviewed and revised by the UO's Diversity Advisory Committee (DAC). The revised UO plan (5-14-06) has been forwarded to the University Senate.
