Prepare for the
Initial Administrator Endorsement
in Initial Administrator Licensure
The UO College of Education has developed an innovative inital administrator licensure program with the following advantages:

Licensed teachers can earn their administrator license at the UO
• In one year
• While they're still teaching
• In a supportive cohort of educators

Licensure Candidates can earn a master's degree
• Concurrently with their initial administrator license
• With all 26 IAL credits applying towards the master of education (M.Ed.) degree

Admission Requirements:
Applications are due February 1. The program begins at the end of June. Applicants must
• Have a master's degree (or be willing to complete a master's degree concurrently with completing licensure)
• Hold, have held, or be eligible to hold a teaching license
• Verify three years of full-time successful licensed teaching experience

Licensing Process:
On completion of the program a student is eligible to apply to Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission for an Initial Administrator License.
