Department of Education Studies
· Alison Ball, Sapsik’walá Project Co-Director Phone: (541) 346-1485 Sapsik’walá is a Sahaptian word meaning "teacher." The Sapsik’walá program is a component of the University of Oregon Native American Initiative. In partnership with nine federally recognized tribes of the State of Oregon, the College of Education master's programs will prepare you as a teacher to meet the lifelong learning and developmental needs of children and young adults.
Do you have a bachelor's degree? Are you a member of an Indian tribe or band, or a descendent of a parent or grandparent who meets tribal membership qualifications?
Teaching in schools that serve Indian people, Indian educators bring knowledge and skills to improve the educational experiences of American Indian youth. |
