The School Psychology program prepares psychologists who are scientist-practitioners. Through applied research, school psychologists promote development in children, students, and families.

School Psychology students master valid scientific methods of assessment and intervention to identify, prevent, and resolve educational problems for children and adults.

Students assess the academic and social development of children and adults within specific environments or ecologies in order to plan and evaluate academic and behavioral interventions. Students also master strategies for consulting and training with parents, teachers, and related school personnel.
