Counseling Psychology The doctoral program in counseling psychology (CPSY) requires admission to both the College of Education CPSY program and the University of Oregon Graduate School. You will need to supply two sets of official transcripts from each institution you have attended, showing all degrees earned. One set will accompany your application to the University of Oregon Office of Admissions; another set will accompany your application to the Counseling Psychology Program.
Application to the Program 1) Complete the online University of Oregon Graduate Admission Application. See details below. Once completed, a copy is automatically forwarded to the program. 2) Send all of the following to the Counseling Psychology program by December 15 in one packet:
• CPSY Program Application
• Three letters of recommendation, each accompanied by the Letter of Recommendation Form in sealed envelopes, signed by the recommender across the seal
• One set of official transcripts from all colleges/universities where a degree has been earned
• Vita or resume (detailing education, work experiences and relevant personal information)
• A personal statement (describing goals and purpose in seeking admission to program) Academic Secretary

• Have ETS send your GRE General Test Scores to the department; the university code is 4846 and the department code is 2005. ETS will send your scores directly to us if you tell them these codes. Only tests taken in the past 5 years will be valid. Because it takes about 6 weeks for the scores to arrive, it is helpful to include a copy of your scores in your application packet.
• International applicants will need to submit TOEFL (internet or paper exam) or IELTS scores. If you have any question or concerns, contact the academic secretary via email at cpsy@uoregon.edu.
Application to the University of Oregon 1) Please complete the online Graduate Admission Application. If you have questions concerning this form, contact the Graduate School. 2) Please mail one set of official transcripts from all colleges/universities where a degree has been earned: Office of Admissions

Eugene OR 97403-1217 NOTE: Once your online Graduate Admission Application is completed and the fee is paid, the Graduate School will transfer a copy of your application to the counseling psychology department. When applying to more than one department at the University of Oregon you must complete one Graduate Admission Application per program. To avoid paying a second application fee, applicants who are applying to multiple departments should send an email to gradsch@uoregon.edu requesting a bypass of the online credit card fee submission. Please include full name, term of application, intended major, and reason for fee waiver. The Graduate School will respond with an assigned login name that will allow you to submit the online application without the fee.
