| UO Identity & University Signatures |
The university signatures are the cornerstone of the University of Oregon identity system. As the primary identifier of the university, the signatures have been developed to consistently represent the university in all of its communications. College of Education office communications such as letters, memos, and teaching applications in graphics for display, syllabi, or website pages may carry the university signature, but the use is trademarked by the University of Oregon and as such, is subject to conditions and specifications managed by UO Creative Publishing. The UO College of Education communications unit can help academic offices, faculty, staff, and students correctly apply the signature marks—or find solutions if products or uses require alternative elements.

| Applications of University Signatures |
Each of the individual elements maintains a special relationship to the others and must not be altered. The only elements which are to be changed are the name of the area or unit, and its address or contact phone. Additionally, a university signature must be used as a single unit. Elements such as the O, the rule, and the university name may not be mixed, disassembled, repositioned, or used as a decorative element. If you have questions about using a signature for memos or syllabi or other media with graphic representations of a university signature, please consult Graphic Style of the University of Oregon or call Kathleen Heinz at (541) 346-1393 or Lillian Winkler-Rios at (541) 346-1414 for guidance.

| Need UO Logos? |
UO Creative Publishing manages the oversight of applications of the university signature. Please be aware that in documents printed at UO Printing Services, university items are regulated and may be returned for correct signature application. Use of the logo requires specific application as outlined in the second edition of Graphic Style of the University of Oregon. Creative Publishing grants access to a shared folder of O logos. Follow instructions provided on their website. For newer PC machines and operating systems, access the server in the following steps: • (1) Press Window key and 'e' on the keyboard simultaneously. • (2) In My Computer, find under Tools in the menu bar the option, "Map Network Drive". • (3) Choose a letter drive not currently in use; add the \\QCServer\Shared command in the second field and finish. The next time you need a logo, the Quickcopy shared server should be appearing in the drive letter you specified.
