Clay M. Starlin

Dr. Clay Starlin coordinates the doctoral cohort of the Alaska distance learning program in Educational Leadership. Dr. Starlin’s consulting, research, and teaching activities are focused on the following areas: accountability systems (standards setting, performance and learning assessment) and literacy (oral language, reading and writing).

Dr. Starlin’s experience includes teaching children in clinical settings, public school supervision, independent educational consulting, the coordination of a state office program and consulting for a university based technical assistance center. Dr. Starlin is currently working on sub-contracts in American Samoa and Alaska designing performance and learning assessment systems.
