The ESOL and ESOL/Bilingual Add-On Endorsement Programs prepare teachers to serve students who have special needs because they enter the school system speaking a native language other than English.

The ESOL/Bilingual Program is identical to the ESOL Program, but the bilingual program additionally certifies that the teacher is proficient in a second language.

The College of Education does not offer any degrees in ESOL. This program offers an add-on endorsement to a teaching license only.

Effective teachers strive to create inclusive, effective learning activities for all students. ESOL endorsement guides your tailoring of instructional support to help the second language learner master content and overcome social barriers to participation in classroom learning activities. more…
